Passionate Writer
I didn’t start in life pursuing a career in writing, but I always had a love of reading and literature. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in English. After graduating from Florida Statute University and finding myself as a single mother with a two-year-old, I decided to take the LSAT and off to law school I went.
So, why did I start writing stories? I was frequently blown away by the stories of the people I represented and how our legal system is broken. About ten years into my career, I started writing a sci-fi. Then, in 2014 and recently married, my husband and I bought an old farmhouse, which turned out to have quite a history, including a murder in 1897. Voila, writer Wendy was born. Once I realized that writing was its language, just like law, I entered the MFA in Creative Writing program at SNHU. I am expecting to graduate with my MFA in November of 2024 and am working on my second novel. My first novel, Ghost House Blues is scheduled for release October 2024.
